👋 Hey, I’m Amber!

Playful creative, homeschooling mama to a ton of kids, Disney fanatic, cozy gamer, caffeinated ADHD raccoon… and a lot of other things✨

I’m a thirty-something mama who moved from Seattle to a small town in Utah about ten years ago (I know, wild choice!). I live here with my husband and kids, building a life that’s equal parts chaotic af and fun most days.

This isn’t going to be a proper about page. Just a place to get to know me so you can decide if you want to stick around. So let’s do this with fun facts 🤪

Let’s get a little personal

Because what’s an about page without some messy, random facts? Here’s a peek at things I love, the quirks that keep life interesting, and the stuff that makes me… me.

  • This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve built multiple businesses, abandoned blogs (oops), and written 900+ posts along the way. No matter what, I just keep coming back to creating.
  • I LOVE to tinker with everything imaginable, from websites to graphics to new software to ads. If it involves building or creating, I’ve probably already tried it (or will soon). I learn it wicked fast, too.
  • I’ve worked with bloggers, small businesses, kid-focused brands, and even a local kids’ art studio and play-based private school.
  • ADHD means my brain never shuts up. It’s messy, fast, and full of ideas… which is frustrating sometimes, but it also makes me really good at what I do.
  • I believe hustle culture is trash, and that life should be cozy, fun, and sustainable.
  • Nobody should have to work just to meet basic needs, and billionaires shouldn’t exist. Nobody needs that much money.
  • I think we all need a little humbling, and a little more belief in the goodness of people. The world is bigger and wilder than we realize, and while it’s easy to highlight the bad, there’s still so much good worth noticing.
  • Radical kindness + acceptance matter to me: LGBTQ rights, BLM, recognizing that we live on stolen land, and standing with people who live and think differently. I’m also not above calling out my own privilege when I need to.
  • Spiritually, I’m kind of pagan-in-progress. I connect with the idea that everything is tied together through nature, even if I’m still figuring out what that looks like.
  • My best “hack”? Stop taking life so seriously. If it works for you, that’s enough.
  • I’m obsessed with my rainbow-colored glasses. They’re basically my personality at this point.
  • I homeschool a whole crew of kids (multiple ages + toddlers + babies = chaotic af). My chaos tolerance is pretty high these days as a result — it didn’t used to be!
  • I grew up near Seattle (forests + rain forever) and somehow ended up in Utah about ten years ago.
  • I used to want to be a teacher and even dreamed about running my own daycare center. I worked with kids for a while and have huge respect for people in that field.
  • Fun fact: I used to square dance competitively. It’s not like the stuff they teach in school.
  • I really love Disney. It’s been one of the few constants since I was little and I can’t let go of the magic.
  • I love playing cozy games at the end of a long day. My favorites are Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia, and Palia.
  • My version of “trashy TV” is lawyer shows and prison dramas like Suits, The Good Wife/The Good Fight, Prison Break, and Banshee. I also really love darker, weirder stuff like The Walking Dead, From, Manifest, and Once Upon a Time.
  • Music in headphones is one of my happy places.
  • Iced coffee is basically my love language. Without it, nothing gets done.
  • I love crafts, coloring, and baking things just for fun.
  • I live for dresses with pockets. Spinny, twirly ones are best.
  • Sometimes dinner is just cereal, because kids love it and some nights are about filling bellies (and my sanity).
  • I REALLY hate mushrooms. End of story.
  • Oh, and I have an irrational fear of frogs that I discovered while camping a few years ago. Don’t ask. 🐸😅
  • I’m a cozy introvert who’s still super chatty online. I’ll happily hide at home but send bricks of text messages all day.
  • I LOVE to learn new stuff. From courses, blogs, YouTube tutorials… if there’s a rabbit hole, I’ve probably gone down it.
